Safety and Cleanliness Key Hallmarks at Millennium Hotels and Resorts

 

As we all have adjusted to the new normal, and travel is possible again, Millennium Hotels and Resorts is committed to making sure that every stay with us at one of our 130+ hotels across the world is a comfortable and safe stay. By introducing our ‘We Clean. We Care. We Welcome’ Global Safety and Cleanliness Commitment; we ensure that precautionary measures have been introduced to ensure the safety of all our guests and employees.

We bring this commitment to life through the practice of our new 10 Key Hallmarks. Built on existing Millennium Hotels and Resorts safety protocols and designed to complement the exhaustive mandatory preventative measures mandated by local government authorities, these guidelines further enhance the health and safety protections for all our guests and staff.

As part of the introduction of our new My Millennium Magazine, we want to take our readers on a deep dive into these Key Hallmarks, explore how we execute them, and the experience of travelling with us in the new normal.

 

Use of technology to enhance guest experience and safety

For our first feature we looked at our new uses of technology to enhance our guest experience and safety. We have deployed contactless technology where possible to minimise physical contact between guests and our team. While these measures do have health and safety benefits, they also work towards our goal of becoming more sustainable in our activities and utilising the digital technologies we have available to us to streamline the guest experience.

 

Food and Beverage Takeaway

First rolled out in our Singapore hotels, and projecting roll out to our other regions across the world, we have implemented a new function on our website for takeaway food and beverage ordering. If you’re not ready to dine in just yet, this new feature allows our guests to order their favourite dishes from select Millennium Hotels and Resorts outlets and pay online, reducing contact points between customers and staff through traditional ordering methods. Once ordered and made, our guests can pick up their food from outside the hotel. No need to even step inside: we will meet you for an alfresco delivery!

 

In-Room Dining

Within our hotels we have also implemented changes to our in-room dining offer at selected hotels. Similar to our online takeout offer, we have introduced a new function on our website that allow our guests to order food online and charge the order back to their room. No need to pay upfront, and no need to contacting the team via the in-room phone. Want to browse the menu without flicking through the compendium? The menus are also online, scan the in-room QR code and browse the menu on your own device. We have also implemented QR codes in a selection of our restaurants for dine-in customers. Diners can scan the QR code at entry with their phone and browse the menu on their own device, no need to touch the menu.

 



With many more exciting developments in the future, including mobile app assisted check-in and other digital solutions, we look forward to using technology and further innovations in order to enhance the hotel experience and better serve our guests.
