An icon of New Zealand’s rural heritage is its sheep farming industry, which is preserved and displayed at The Wool Shed through its interactive exhibits. Housed in two historic woolsheds in Masterton, activities include spinning and weaving demonstrations as well as sheep shearing showcases. The Wool Shed is also home to the Golden Shears, the world-famous international shearing and woolhandling championship.
