The six remaining Dahongpao seed tree bushes in existence today can be found in Mount Wuyi's Jiulongke Scenic Area. They are over 360 years old. The Dahongpao seed trees are included in the UNESCO list of Mount Wuyi's natural and cultural world heritage items under the category of ancient trees. In 2005, at the 7th "Mount Wuyi Tea Festival", 20 grams of tea from the Dahongpao seed trees were auctioned off at an astronomical price of 208 thousand Chinese yuan, earning it the accolade: King of Teas.
