The perfect fairy tale castle, Craigievar perches on the rolling hills of Aberdeenshire. A stunning example of Scottish Baronial architecture, Craigievar’s Great Tower has changed very little since it was built in 1626. Retaining much of its original charm and features the castle stands as a testament to fine craftsmanship, from its magnificent architectural design, to the beautiful Jacobean woodwork that decorates the halls. Visitors can get lost in this otherworldly castle, a truly unique snapshot into Scotland’s cultural and historic past. The large estate stretches across much of the surrounding woodland, with extensive views across the countryside stretching to Bennache. Craigievar’s Castle is open to the public all year round.
