Al Majaz Waterfront...The bustling heart of the city
The Sharjah Development and Investment Authority (Shurooq) has officially launched the Al Majaz Waterfront Project in Sharjah on 28 March 2010. The project is one of the largest tourism projects in the emirate, covering 231,000 square feet at a cost of AED 100 million.
Al Majaz Waterfront is located in the most vibrant area of the heart of Sharjah on Khalid Lake (between Jamal Abdel Nasser Street and Khalid Lake Corniche). The population of the surrounding area estimated at over 100,000 people.
The Al Majaz Waterfront features a variety of recreational facilities and attractions including the Sharjah Musical Fountain, which overlooks a wide range of international restaurants and cafés, a jogging track, a unique architectural mosque, Maraya Art Park, a mini splash park for kids and children's playground, Events area, snack and drink kiosks, beautiful greenery landscape, free Wi-Fi and public amenities with more than 1000 parking spaces.
Also Al Majaz Waterfront features a variety of entertaining activities and events throughout the year, which attract many families and tourists. In addition, the iconic Sharjah Musical Fountain runs the amazing shows every day after sunset, which is one of the largest fountains of its kind in the region, with a height of 100 meters, With a width of 220 meters. It also features two large screens, as well as state-of-the-art sound and light techniques, and the latest laser art effects, so that the visitors can enjoy a remarkable experience in the waterfront.
