Just a 10-minute walk from the city center, Kuirau Park is a fun place for the whole family, especially on Saturdays between 7am and 1pm, when the weekly flea market draws crowds out into the sunshine (or rain). This free park is managed by Rotorua Lakes Council, and offers geothermal fun, a safe playground for children, heated foot-pools to ease aching feet, paddling pools, and a big garden with picnic facilities.
