The Village Green is a picturesque public meeting and lunch place. The community park’s site was once home to the White Star Hotel, which burned down on New Year’s Day in 1970. For years after it was an empty lot used for parking, but the area was repurposed in the mid ‘90s. In 2006, extensive advancements were made to the central space and today it is a celebrated community asset.
