The massive New Century Global Center is the world’s largest freestanding building by floor space and is located in Tianfu New Area, Chengdu. The space currently includes a hotel, movie theatre, university, shopping mall, swimming pool, ocean park, hotel and village. The complex is spread over 1.7 million square meters and has a 100-metre-high glass ceiling with its own artificial sun to keep visitors warm 24 hours a day.
