Beijing’s Ritan Park (also known as Temple of the Sun) one of the five famous alters in Beijing where the emperors of the Ming (1368-1644) and Qing (1644-1911) dynasties offered sacrifices to the sun. In 1951, the government renovated most of the park’s old buildings, so today this landmark includes an amusement park for children, a fishing zone for anglers, spaces for music festivals and flower shows in the spring.
